The company and its food concept

AFURI is a ramen business whose story connects the ZUND-BAR restaurant in Kanagawa, opened in 2001, with its Tokyo debut in Ebisu in 2003. Its menu includes both animal-based broths and a separately developed vegan bowl.

How to order and what to ask

Ask for the exact vegan bowl, then check noodle substitutions and extra toppings separately. Removing chicken or pork from a regular bowl does not change the stock.

  • Order the specifically labelled dish; other dishes may contain animal ingredients.
  • Rainbow Vegan Ramen is not offered at Yokohama Joinus or ZUND-BAR.
  • Shared preparation equipment may be used. Check with the branch.

Keep vegan and halal checks separate

Halal status remains unconfirmed in this guide. A vegan recipe alone does not establish alcohol-free preparation or halal certification. If avoiding a particular ingredient is essential, describe that ingredient directly to the branch and ask about sauces, stock and shared equipment. We have not conducted an on-site inspection or an allergy assessment.
